Chakras
Our body has seven primary chakras which are positioned along the spine from its bottom to the top. Together with chakras 8 and 9, which can be found around the body, they form the 'rainbow bridge' between cosmos and earth. Each chakra is connected to our bodily functions and character traits.
If all chakras can spin freely, the energy flows and body and mind function as one whole. If you are unable to act from what you feel inside, a chakra will be blocked. So, ensure that the energy can flow through each chakra to prevent physical, emotional and mental problems. Your balance will become better and better.
'Be Smart'
The instrument of 'Be Smart' shows which of your chakras is in the centre; today, this month and this year. By paying attention to your inner development process on a daily basis you will bring balance to your chakras.

The nine chakras and their colors |
|
|
|
The red chakra
Muludhara means: support from the root. The colour of the first chakra is red and it stands for the power of life. The element associated with this chakra is earth. The first chakra enables you to be strongly grounded in the world; or rooted firmly in the earth. You are not afraid to trust the natural course of life. |
The orange chakra
Besides `sweetness`, Svadhistana also refers to your own place. The colour of the second chakra is orange and it stands for balance. The element associated with this chakra is water. The second chakra enables you to experience and balance the conflicts that you encounter in yourself and in life. You are not afraid to express your creative and sexual energy completely and freely in anything you do. |
The yellow chakra
Manipura means: sparkling jewel. Another name for this chakra is solar plexus. The colour of the third chakra is yellow and it stands for basic emotions. The element associated with this chakra is fire. You are not afraid of accepting and expressing your basic emotions like anger, sadness, fear and joy. Feeling safe, trusting in the natural course of life (chakra 1) and with freely flowing sensual and creative energy (chakra 2), a fiery, powerful force arises in the third chakra which can break through all resistance of the ego. |

The green chakra
Anahata means release and undamaged. The colour of the fourth chakra is green and it stands for feeling. The element associated with this chakra is air. The fourth chakra is in the centre of the seven primary chakras, connects body and mind and your male and female poles. These will find a balance when you give room to the inner child within you. A child is by nature full of wonder and knows no fear. By living in this way you will go beyond thinking in terms of your ego and give life room to bring harmony and synchronicity -flow- to all aspects of your life. |
The blue chakra
Vishuddha means purification. The colour of the fifth chakra is blue and it stands for communication. The element associated with this chakra is ether, which means all-encompassing silence. Communication is the game between silence and sound. Self-expression arises from within and begins with stillness. Show your feelings and give voice to them by talking, singing, shouting, laughing, or even mimicking. This creates room in your body and peace in your mind. Thus you break through vicious circles and surprise yourself and others. |
The purple chakra
Ajna means perception. The colour of the sixth chakra is purple and it stands for intuition. This chakra is closely associated with the pituitary gland in the centre of your head below the brains. This gland plays an essential role in regulating a large number of hormones. Here it is actually decided how you experience your life: you do not see things as they are but as you have been made to see them. The sixth chakra is the point of contact between your body and mind; between your terrestrial life here and now and your higher self. |

The white chakra
Sahasrara means thousandfold. The colour of the seventh chakra is white and it stands for imagination. Earth energy and universal energy meet by way of your spinal column and, together with the six other chakras, form the rainbow bridge between the earth and the cosmos. Through this chakra you are in touch with your higher self. You are infinite and all-encompassing consciousness; the field of timelessness, omniscience and unlimited possibilities. |
The violet chakra
The colour of the eighth chakra is violet. This transformational chakra stands for unconditional love, compassion and selflessness. This chakra is the gate between man and cosmos. The eighth chakra is activated step-by-step when you are no longer afraid to lose your ego. Your consciousness shifts to your higher self: you realize that you are part of a greater whole. This completely changes your perception and experience of yourself and your environment. |
The golden chakra
The colour of the ninth chakra is golden and stands for drive. Your blueprint is stored in the ninth chakra, this is your source of inspiration. `I` , that is what this blueprint shows: what is your life`s destination, where are your talents, possibilities and points of attention. This source provides you with new insights that enable you to see yourself, others and your environment clearly. This leads to understanding so that you can see life as it really is: abundant and full of possibilities. |
